I had a gnarly unending 24/7 headache last year from February to late August.
I hadn’t indulged in mj for almost 3 years due to a series of rather unpleasant panicked highs, and in fact, had written it off from my life entirely.
Desperate after all allopathic means failed to bring relief, I turned to Caroline’s and it was suggested that I try Lemon Alien.
I was skeptical, as is my usual nature, but heck, if it made reading or watching TV slightly more enjoyable, I guess it would be somewhat worth it, right?
10 minutes after the first toke… I was in tears. GOOD tears. It took 5 more minutes to fully comprehend that I didn’t have a headache…. my body didn’t hurt… I wasn’t trapped in swirling, pulsating pain, forced to wear a mask as this frustrated, angry person.
I was able to think… the sudden desire to create presented itself. I was relaxed, functional, productive.
I thought it was a fluke, so I greedily explored every moment of that high, assuming such a good feeling would never happen again.
Well, it did.
I’ve tried other strains since August, but this is the only one with a very controllable and predictable high and a guarantee of headache relief. Whether I want to be creative and artsy, go for a hike, socialise/watch tv with friends, tolerate my neighbours, or simply lay in a blanket nest and drift, Lemon Alien has proved a versatile ally.
I’ve been without it for a couple months while I dabble in other strains, but I think this one is going to have to be a constant staple for me. Would recommend for those who don’t want couch lock, but don’t vibe well with Sativas.
